Types Of Tattoo

There is no definitive list of the types of tattoo that you could have. People can basically choose to have any kind of image or message tattooed on their bodies provided that their tattooist agrees to do it! There are, however, some types of tattoos that are particularly popular at the moment. These include:

Names - many people like to have the names of their nearest and dearest tattooed on their bodies. This could be the names of their parents, their kids or their partners. Names here can be tattooed on as they are or integrated as part of an image.
Symbols - symbols remain a popular option in the tattooing world. For example, some people will use Celtic or Maori designs and symbols here when they have a tattoo done. Other popular symbols include hearts, flowers, flags, dragons and animals.
Football clubs - many football fans will have tattoos that relate to their football club. These may be club crests or badges or the names of their favourite players or specific events.
Foreign script - a lot of people like to have a message tattooed on their bodies but to have it written in a foreign language such as Chinese or Japanese.

Finally, a lot of people still like to have temporary tattoos done. These tattoos can look just like permanent tattoos but won't last forever. This can be a good way of actually deciding if you want a permanent tattoo before having one done.
